Censorship Can Kiss My Nose

That is my first point right there. Censorship obscures information. In this case the information was obscured to make you believe my title was something rude and disgusting. This is rediculous when you consider song lyrics, just follow this through: Artist X writes the lyrics "I want you motherfuckers to pay!" now looking into this we can see that he doesn't like these "motherfuckers" and feels very strongly about it. You could see this as shorthand for "I would like you nasty nasty nasty people to receive your comeuppance!" hmm... ok so the message is the same but it's more words and doesn't have the same ring... The fact of the matter is an artist chooses to express themselves in a certain way, and if they say "You piss me off so much I want you dead!" then that's the message they want to convey. Now you're probably thinking "What about the children!?" well... What about them? The question really should be "What about the parents?" because they shouldn't let their kids listen to such filth etc... "But we need censored versions for the radio during daytime!" Do we? I personally hate listening to censored anything... "Yeah you BEEEEP you should BEEEP think before you BEEEEP with me and my BEEEEEP" How on earth can anyone comfortable listen to anything interupted by a constant beeping...? You sometimes hear something more bearable when they do this: "..And I don't give a shhh so F it!" huh? so yeah your brain can fill in the blanks... but if that's what you mean just say it already. >_> |
